The law firm currently conducts over 6,000 court proceedings on behalf of insurers and banks throughout Poland. These proceedings concern disputes regarding insurance contracts (life and property), claims for compensatory benefits, claims regarding the so-called loans indexed/denominated to a foreign currency (including CHF), loans based on the WIBOR rate, claims for the so-called sanction of free credit or banks' claims against borrowers.
The law firm has been dealing with foreign currency indexed loans since 2018. The law firm's lawyers participate in the work of the CHF working group at the Polish Bank Association. The law firm, on behalf of the Bank, participated in the work aimed at preparing the position of the Polish Bank Association and the Bank's position regarding preliminary questions submitted to the CJEU by the National Courts.
In this respect, the Law Firm also has experience in negotiating settlements, preparing and finalizing them on behalf of the bank, both as part of arbitration proceedings before common courts and mediation before arbitration courts, including PFSA mediators. Currently, the Law Firm is running a settlement program for loans denominated in CHF for one of the leaders in the banking services market.
